Rigid Industries LED Headlamp PWM Anti Flicker Adaptor #55006 (H13 To H14)

RIGID INDUSTRIES TRUCK-LITE SERIES PWM ADAPTOR for  7IN  #RIG55006

Truck-Lite is offering a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Adapter Harness that eliminates headlight flicker in 2007- present Jeep JK models. The flicker that some Jeep JK users may see is the result of the PWM electrical system used on these models. You might be wondering, what is PWM? The PWM electrical system turns the lamps energy on and off extremely fast. Incandescent bulbs are too slow to respond, so flickering isn’t seen. This system is used to reduce the power to an incandescent bulb, extending bulb life. Why do LEDs flicker when used with PWM systems? LED headlamps respond very fast and follow vehicle commands closely, so in some cases the flicker can be seen. Truck-Lite has developed the PWM Adapter Harness, to eliminate the flicker. The adapter will: Store power during ‘on’ time and deliver power during ‘off’ time. This allows the lamp to utilize constant “on” energy.
